Scarborough Summer coastal walking trip

A few places are still available on the CLOG summer trip to Scarborough (4 nights): July 12th to 16th. £86 per person which covers accommodation, breakfasts, packed lunches and tea and biscuits. If you are not already a CLOG member, you would need to join CLOG to come on this trip (£15 annual sub for New Members).

-coastal walks

-visits to the nearby fishing villages and Whitby

-cultural activity in the town including the Stephen Joseph Theatre

- swimming!

The 'Queen of Resorts', Scarborough is Britain's oldest seaside resort, with magnificent beaches set either side of a rocky, castle-topped headland. First known as a spa in the 17th century, it was the coming of the railway in 1845 that turned Scarborough into the premier resort on England's east coast. It is adjacent to the North York Moors National Park and there is coastal walking along the 26 mile heritage coastline.

Scarborough YHA is situated 1½ miles north of the town centre and 15 minutes' walk from the North Bay beach. It is a large hostel and there will be at least one empty bed in each room to provide more space.
