Thursday Jul 10![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Summer seaside trip to WhitbyBook now for this five-night trip to enjoy scenic coastal walks and the charms of Whitby, a historic seaside town. Famous as the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Whitby has a picturesque harbour, a ruined Gothic abbey and plenty of shops, pubs and cafes. The coastline features beautiful beaches, rugged cliffs and quaint fishing villages. Another great area for walks is the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, with its heritage railway. Cylists will also find a variety of trails to explore, including the Cinder Track from Whitby to Scarborough and others in the lovely Dalby Forest. We have reserved 22 hostel beds in YHA Whitby, a magnificent Grade I-listed mansion right next to the abbey ruins and with harbour views. The town centre is just a short walk away. The cost of £224 includes five nights’ accommodation in rooms shared with other CLOG members (all ensuite) and cooked breakfasts provided by the hostel. For booking details, see the email sent to members on 16 May.
