 Supper Club Invergowrie
Invergowrie Church has started up a monthly supper club. It is held on the second Sunday of the month (so as not to coincide with the Calm Evening service which is on the first of the month). A two-course meal is served – a main and a dessert. To date we have had between 15 and 20 people attend each night. Food has ranged from shepherd’s pie or fish pie to more exotic risotto. The puddings lately have been made by Pamela Maddison so the quality is extremely high! This supper club is open to anyone in the Carse but we ask that you book in advance so that we know numbers to cater for. (see below for details). We usually provide a vegetarian option but are adaptable so could do vegan and gluten-free if required. On Sunday, the 9th of June at 5 pm the menu is chicken or salmon with couscous and roast vegetables, followed by Toblerone cheesecake. Entry is by donation (suggested £3). It has proved to be a lovely opportunity to share food and company on a Sunday evening. Places must be booked in advance by the Friday before from Caroline C or Sheila M. |

The ensemble is one of 7,000, involving 100,000 people across Germany. In their 150-year history, this youth- and music-movement ‘Posaunenchor’ is praising God, delighting people, making joyful community, lifting souls and moving hearts. Where words struggle, music opens doors. In Germany, too, the church is struggling - but these ensembles are doing well. Don’t miss!
