Re: Month arrows are gone. In the code you paste from localendar, there are comments about changing the height attribute on the pasted script to make sure the space allocated to the calendar is large enough so it won't be clipped. You could also change the scrolling attribute to Yes to add a scroll bar (when necessary) - but that doesn't look as good.
