Forum Adminstration
In an attempt to learn more about the forum features, I went to the mvnforum site. In their flash demo, under Admin features, they list options for User Management, Group Management, and Send (group emails).

When I go to the admin area, I just see Forum Index, Admin Index, Miscellaneous Tasks, and Forum Management.

I subscribed to the $29.95 package and am wondering if perhaps I misread the options and should upgrade or if I have just overlooked the ability to assign permissions to users, etc.

Thank you in advance,

Jessica Benzakein

Re: Forum Adminstration
We run a highly customized version of mvnforum, which is not necessarily up to date with the features offered by their latest version. Their public forum software supports only a single discussion forum, whereas our version has been changed to accomodate forums for every localendar member potentially signing up for Premium Webmaster and creating their own.

We have also consciously disabled some particular features like the blast-emails because of the potential for abuse, which you impact our mail servers and our reputation on the Internet.

Re: Forum Adminstration
Thank you for your reply. I will evaluate your answer, but I am probably going to have to cancel my Premium Webmaster service.

The reason that I originally signed up with this service is because I liked the calendar feature combined with a discussion board. I did not have to administrate 2 different programs.

I wish you well, and I hope that your service grows. Unfortunately, for my needs, a fully administrative forum is necessary with securities that are not connected to the calendar viewing capabilities.

I won't ask for a refund even though I have been signed up for less than a week, but I will state that I wish for my membership to be cancelled and to not renew at the end of the year.

Again, I thank you for your time in answering my questions.

PS, I would suggest that you perhaps sign up with a different payment service. When your customers have to continually tell you that they have paid for premium service, and you reply that Paypal has issues, well, it comes across as less than professional.
