Re: I try to edit a date and I am brought back to the login page
We've experienced this problem now for over a week; NOTHING has changed with the settings on any of our computers or browsers, just can't get into localendar to post new items. This is a LONG down-time.

I'm having the same problem. Do you think it's a problem with Mozilla firefox? That is what I use. I was able to log in with Explorer, but not w/Mozilla, what browser are you guys using?

I too am having the same difficulties for days (since the outage).

Moreover, I'm getting no response from support.

I realize that technical problems can be difficult to solve. Yet an update notification about down time, reasons, and the time horizon for correction is simply the polite and professional thing to do. It would be much more efficient than hunting through the forum for this information.

cheers, Bill

Alas, we simply can't duplicate this issue. Not under IE or Firefox.

You might try cleaning out your browser cache and logging back in from the homepage.

Regarding response times, it would be helpful if anyone had answered my original question:

>Do you have javascript and cookies enabled in your browser for our site?

Saying that "I haven't changed anything" is not the same as saying "I checked my settings as you asked, and they are correct".

FYI, I just came back after a "long while" and I am seeing similar problems. I click on the "->" to go to the next month and I'm sent back to the login page.

Firefox 1.5, Linux (RH9). No other sites have this sort of problem AFAICT. Also happend when I tried responding to with this post.

Re: I try to edit a date and I am brought back to the login page
I have the same problem with Firefox. It will kick me out if I click on anything to edit. But, if I get in click on Community Forums then hit the back button, I am kicked out. Next I log in and everything works! This just started recently. The calendar works fine with IE. I have Enabled Java and Enabled Java Script with Firefox. Also when I bring up localendar in IE the Standar tab is in bold, in Firefox the Premium tab is in bold. I tried all this at 9:00 am PST 1/30. I have looked around at the other settings in Firefox and could not see anything obvious. I have allowed pop ups for localendar.com in Firefox.

Any other ideas?

Greg

Looks like visiting the forums is now required before editing. Interesting "feature" :-)

So I can confirm some of this; I logged in and tried (three or four times) to edit an event I created yesterday. I kept getting sent to the login page. I came back to this forum topic to see if anything else had happened since my post: just Greg's. I used my back button and tried to edit the same event and voila! it worked.

Coming back here, I was asked to log in again when I hit the "reply with quote" button to post this.

Guesses? I think there's been a cookie change of some sort. It's also possible there's some funny interaction between Firefox extensions like adblock and NoScript. "But it used to work..."

Regression testing is tedious but worth it...
