When users of my forum click on "reply to this thread" they get the following: Index | Recent Threads | Register | Message: Please login to have access to the system. Sign On ID: Password: Remember my ID and Password They have no option to just sign in my forum without setting up an account and getting their own forum or calendar. The register button takes them to a place to sign up for a calendar. I think there use to be a new user button or something. Please advise. Thanks |

That's correct; users must have an account to post to forums, and that means they must create an account at localendar.com. Yes; as a bonus, they also get a free calendar ![]() ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

I knew they had to sign in but when after they "register" it takes them to their new calendar page ready for editing when all they meant to do was reply to a thread in a forum. That's why I'm not getting a lot of posts. I love the calendar but I'll have to shop around for a forum. That throws 90% of the population for a loop and they just surf away. Anyway the original problem was on my forum you click on reply to a thread the image here is missing from the page. ![]() |

There is redirect code that is supposed to take a person back to where they were when they created their account. Let me check into that for you. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

I found this to be somewhat odd too. I want my visitors to be able to sign up then go to my forums with a reply to a post. Are you saying this can not be done. Most of my vistors don't want a calendar they just want to speak their mind on a topic. Please let me know. |

An account at localendar automatically has a calendar created to go with it. What is *supposed* to happen, is that if you are viewing the forums you should be taken back there when you've signed up. You should only be dropped into the calendar when you sign up from the homepage or a cobranded site. We're aware of some issues where this doesn't occur - I think some users may also receive "Oops" messages when they aren't properly redirected. We're working to resolve this issue but alas couldn't get a release out before our year end freeze (due to vacations, year change, etc) ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
