Hello

Is it possible to remove the images on certain dates like the Christmas tree or the 4 for February (Lincoln, Mt Rushmore, Washington and the hearts)?

It's currently not possible to remove the holiday image without removing the holiday itself. To do this, you'll need to change your settings under Options on the left menu.
