We have been experiencing inappropriate advertising in the popups with the details of events -
"Meet Lesbian Singles"
As a youth group this is a huge problem! Our older youth members check the calendar themselves. What is your response?

I am sorry you have run in to this problem.

Localendar does not have direct control over the ads displayed, they are controlled by google, which tried to guess at the best content based on your web site. Google says they do not place obscene ads, but occasionally one gets by them.

If you could please post;

The ad text
and
The Link it points to
Localendar will report it to Google, and have it blocked.

Google Ads are displayed to offset costs of providing free calendar service.
For Less than a dollar a month, ($9.95 annually) you could subscribe and no longer have any advertisements displayed on your calendar.

Thanks very much for your response. I do understand that the ads do not come from localendar, but from Google.
I wonder if they figured it out themselves, as I have been unable to "find" this ad today on the original or any other event. When you access this event now a different ad appears. I have a .jpeg but I don't know how to insert it here - the Image button doesn't ask for a file name.
As soon as this happened, we decided to upgrade to premium service, but have run into a problem in the payment area. We are in Canada, and as soon as we select Canada on the country list, the screen refreshes, and replaces Canada with United States. We cannot then select the province. A message has been posted about this issue also.
Thanks for your help.

I may have misunderstood your last entry. Where is this "country list" of which you speak. We don't have a country list on localendar. Is this coming from the PayPal side?

When I click on "Subscribe Now" it takes me to a screen when I can either select: A) PayPal or B) enter Country & credit card information.

I see now, that the site is a Paypal site....but today it let me select Canada!

I have now successfully completed the subscription & payment for Premium Webmaster.
When can I expect the 'no advertising' to take effect?

Thanks for all your help.
