I presume this is for you to be notified via email when someone posts to your watched category, forum, or thread. Although you offer ny link on the 'my profile' page, (bug), I was able to get to the page via my post. I sent a test message after I selected 'my watch' to ensure the next posting was sent to my email account. No dice.

Does this not work yet?

Thanks

I don't understand this... there is a link to "Watch this thread" on any thread you are currently viewing. Why would you expect there to be one on the "My Profile" page ?

Also, to make sure you correctly receive emails from localendar, try requesting your password from the homepage. Some ISPs may mistakenly treat localendar email as spam.

Let me know what you uncover...

Hi marc,
Yes there is a link to 'watch this thread' on all pages, but if you need to watch an entire category or forum, you have to search a little to find this page (or have a keen eye to pick up on it in the three seconds you get the intermediary page after you post a response).

In anycase, what do you mean by submit your password via the main site? I'm not sure what this means so if you could help me, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
alicia

I just want you to check to make sure emails from localendar aren't getting blocked. Sign out of your calendar (if you're signed in at all), and go to our homepage

Under the login box, click "I forgot my password", and request it be emailed to you. That's a quick check to make sure you are getting messages from us correctly.

Hi Marc,
Yes, i did the test and my test password was sent. Only when something is posted to the discussion forum, I don't get the email for some reason. I am currently set to watch complete categories, but do not receive any auto-generated email for any of the threads within (this even after I also select 'watch thread').

Seems like none of the 'my watch' is working for me although my email address is obviously valid.

Suggestions?

thanks,
Alicia

OK - next test (baby steps smile ) - set a watch on this thread specifically, and then post a message saying , "OK - I did it" - and see if you get notification of that. Use the Watch Thread link specifically in this thread to set that up. (is that what you used when you chose a particular thread before?)

BTW, I still can't see where there's an option to watch an entire category confused
