Hi Marc, My public calendar is still very slow to load and change months. The AroundTheCabin public calendar you mentioned is also very slow - about 20 seconds. I get similar results on my Windows 10 desktop with three different browsers, another computer running Linux and on my phone via wifi and cell. Interestingly, my editing page when I am logged in is quite snappy. I don't need any of the paid features for my personal family calendar but when this is fixed a donation will be in the mail. :) Thanks for all your help and hard work on a great website. - Don |

Strange - I'm getting 1-3 seconds (max) refreshing both calendars and moving between months. We're going to be upgrading some libraries just to see if it impacts performance, but I was hoping you would be seeing the same results. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Hi Marc, Well I am now getting variable results. Trying different things and running lots of different tests on WebPageTest.com. Perhaps you are doing things on your end. When I tried half an hour ago it was slow. Changed my DNS server and it was snappy. Ah ha! Went back to the old DNS server. Still snappy. What is going on? Then things slowed down again. WebPageTest was slow. Then a fast WebPageTest. Now it seems consistently fast. Computers! Thanks again, Don |

Update: yesterday, the page didn't load at all at 11:47 AM, then loaded in a median of 15 seconds at 4:55 PM. Today, the median time is 33 seconds. |

Today, we're at 77 seconds. The continued lack of response is frustrating. |

55 seconds today! (I've switched my website over to using Google Calendar, because this is unusable.) |

The problem has nothing to do with localendar. You are merging in 5 calendars from external urls We can only display the calendar at the speed that those calendars are served to us (from Google) If you want to remove the external slow-down, one approach is to export the external calendars to a file and import that as a static file. But that means you will need to re-upload the file when the external calendar changes. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
