I am running an RSS reader that only shows the events on my calander for this month and none beyond. Is this an issue for localendar or my RSS reader?

It depends on the feed url you are using.

The link on the month view only shows the events for that month.

The link on the Today+Happening Soon view will display today+the next 7-10 days (I forget which), regardless of what month they are in.

Week view - week's events only.

What if we want multiple month events available for viewing? I work for an executive and he'd like to see all prospective travel for 6 months at a time. Is that possible on the published view somehow?

Not currently. But I'll add it to the wish list.

Hi PasadenaChamber,

Are you referring to the RSS feed of >1 month, or the web view of multiple months at a time?

We recently implemented the (very underutilized) ability to import iCalendar feeds. And we are very close to releasing the ability to export iCalendar feeds. An exported iCalendar feed will contain the complete events schedule for your calendar.

It sort of addresses the RSS issue.. and not. You see, an RSS feed needs to have all of the upcoming events specifically spelled out. An iCalendar export just sends out each date, with information on how it repeats into the future (if it even does). The program you are using the read the iCalendar feed needs to figure out future occurrences for itself.

So, we do still plan on a larger-length RSS export, but that has obviously fallen behind a few other priorities. It is still on our queue however.
