The 1st Tuesday of every month is the Surrey Association Open 10 & 12 Bell Practice, held at Croydon Minster. This practice is designed to cater for those wanting to build up their experience of ringing on Higher Numbers. Rounds on 12, Plain Hunt on 9/11 are always featured. Grandsire & Stedman Caters is also common. If numbers permit we also ring Cinques.   

Meet at West Door for 8pm.

Parking available outside the Church, plenty of Bus/Tram access from East & West Croydon stations, closest tram stops are Church Street and Reeves Corner

Another opportunity to attend this excellent course which will give practical advice on:

* How to work safely on bells

* Care of bell fittings and regular maintenance

* Care and adjustment of bell ropes

* Common problems and how to deal with them

* Correcting odd struckness

* Sources of information on steeple keeping

Southern District 'Surprise Major' Practice (2nd Saturday of the month). However this month we are visiting Bletchingley and will be ringing on 10, concentrating on Stedman Caters, Little Bob and Cambridge Royal.

Please note venues will be moving around the District from month to month.

A relaxed practice for ringers who want to call doubles or minor methods. Beginner, improver and expert callers are all welcome.

The Launch of the Ringing Club at Ranmore Open Day.

Ringers can try group ringing in a simulated environment and find out how the Club can provide the opportunity for them to practice their target method intensively with other ringers of a similar ability and at a time of their choosing.

General ringing: rounds, call changes or methods to suit whoevery comes.

An advanced 6 bell practice of plain and surprise and minor methods.

Regular surprise methods are Cambridge, Norwich, London and Carlisle with Touches in Norwich. Plain methods are Plain and Little Bob, St Clements and Double Oxford Minor, with calls and spliced.

New surprise method this year is Bedford - Norwich above and Cambridge below.

Minimum ringing level to ring Cambridge from any place bell.

All ringers who want to practice 8-bell (triples and major) methods are very welcome. We usually ring a selection of plain hunt, Grandsire, Stedman, Plain Bob major, Little Bob major, Double Norwich and sometimes Cambridge major. We do not ring call changes at this practice.

Budding callers who would like to have a go at calling a touch are always very welcome.

A practice for 6-bell ringers who want to start or develop their ringing on 8. Experienced and improving 7 or 8 bell ringers also welcome!

Plain hunt on 7, Grandsire triples, plain hunt on 8 and (depending on who comes) Plain Bob major.
