Training Event - Hand Bell Day Saturday Apr 4 10 am - 1 pm BletchingleyOpen to all Association members. The day will introduce complete beginners to ringing methods on hand bells whilst also providing experienced ringers an opportunity to indulge. Open 10 & 12 Bell Practice at Croydon Minster Tuesday Apr 7 7:45 pm - 9:30 pm Croydon Minster Church St, Croydon CR0, UKThe 1st Tuesday of every month is the Surrey Association Open 10 & 12 Bell Practice, held at Croydon Minster. This practice is designed to cater for those wanting to build up their experience of ringing on Higher Numbers. Rounds on 12, Plain Hunt on 9/11 are always featured. Grandsire & Stedman Caters is also common. If numbers permit we also ring Cinques. Meet at West Door for 19:45. Parking available outside the Church, plenty of Bus/Tram access from East & West Croydon stations, closest tram stops are Church Street and Reeves Corner
Southern District Surprise Major Practice Saturday Apr 11 10 am - 12 pm BletchingleySouthern District Surprise Major (10 bell) Practice (2nd Saturday of the month). We ring up to the Standard 8 depending on numbers. As this month on 10 bells we will ring Grandsire and Stedman Caters, Little Bob, Cambridge and Rutland Royal. All welcome but please let Noel Gibbin know if you are planning on attending. Please note venues will be moving around the District from month to month.
Northern District Practice (NDP) Saturday Apr 18 2:30 pm - 4 pm Holy Trinity, Clapham CommonThe ND Committee is experimenting with different times for our NDP, to encourage different faces of the District (& Association!) out. We are also visiting some towers which we haven't been to in some time! Details for April is as follows: Date: Saturday 18th April Time: 14:30 - 16:00 Location: Holy Trinity, Clapham. DO NOT go to St Mary RC! Access: Clapham Common (Northern Line). Clapham High Street (London Overground Windrush Line). Bus Access from Clapham Junction. These are a pleasant ring of Six with a beautiful setting within Clapham Common. Plenty of choice for our post-practice refreshment!

Wandering Bobs (calling practice) Monday Apr 20 10:30 am - 12 pmA relaxed practice for ringers who want to call doubles or minor methods. Beginner, improver and expert callers are all welcome. This practice moves to a different tower every month.
8-bell method practice Wednesday Apr 22 1 pm - 3 pm St Mary the Virgin East Molesey Bell Rd, Molesey, East Molesey KT8 0SS, UKAll ringers who want to practice 8-bell (triples and major) methods are very welcome. We usually ring a selection of plain hunt, treble bob hunt, Grandsire, Stedman, Plain Bob major, Little Bob major, Double Norwich and sometimes Cambridge major. We do not ring call changes at this practice.
Budding callers who would like to have a go at calling a touch are always very welcome.

Southern District All Comers Practice Saturday Apr 25 10 pm - 12 am St Andrew's, Cobham Church St, Cobham KT11 3EG, UK A monthly Saturday morning district practice open to all. Ringing for all abilities as long as you are able to safely handle a bell, from rounds and changes up.
Advance Minor Practice Monday Apr 27 10:30 am - 12 pm tbcAn advanced 6 bell practice of plain and surprise minor methods. Regular surprise methods are Cambridge, Norwich, London and Carlisle with Touches and Spliced Plain and Little Bob, St Clements and Double Oxford Minor. The focussed method is Beverley with Eastwood to follow later in the year. Minimum ringing level to ring Cambridge from any place bell or to treble bob hunt with aspirations. The new start time is 10.30am with a pub lunch after for those wishing to stay on.
