Just five days before the 2024 total solar eclipse, homeschool children will learn about the grand celestial movements that produce eclipses. Explore the movement of the sun, Earth and moon and play games to learn about and prepare for this rare astronomical event. 

Price: $8/youth (ages 3-17), 25% discount for members

Wild Whitewater: Canal Nature Walk

The Whitewater Canal was built for boats and horses, but this manmade river has become home to many types of wildlife, including ducks, fish, beavers and many others. Join naturalist Curt Burnette from Limberlost State Historic Site for an interactive session to learn about wildlife and explore the canal’s plants and animalsIn light of the upcoming total solar event on April 8, we will also discover how animals react during eclipses!
