Thread Topic Can the system email the creator of an event the "update/modify" link
Thread Body Why doesn't the localendar system email the creator of a calendar event the URL of the "Update/Delete/Modify" page? We have a public calendar that users use to reserve a supply cart and this is a constant issue they run into. On the "Add Event" window they have to input an email address. Once the event is added a confirmation window appears (www.localendar.com/cal?DAM=EventEditor). The most prominent button on this window is the "CLOSE WINDOW" button which the user immediately pushes BECAUSE they are assuming, like everything now a days, an email will be sent to them with all the confirmation data including the all-important link which they need to later modify their event. Users don't even read the warning BELOW the "CLOSE WINDOW" button that they shouldn't close the window before saving the url that is also BELOW the "CLOSE WINDOW" button. Honestly, even without emailing the user a confirmation email with aforementioned all-important URL you could at least layout this window to prevent this error. In the very least put the important reminder to save the URL ABOVE the "CLOSE WINDOW" button below . That would probably deterr 90% of the errors.
