Re: Clip-art Upload for Calendar Thumbnail Images PLUS Submitter ID One thing associated with this among other submitter mistakes, misinterpretations and in some cases possible calendar misuse that can lead to calendar problems is that there's no mandatory inclusion of the submitter's e-mail contact. This means that if a submitter to the calendar is doing something wrong, there's simply no way to let them know what they are doing wrong and provide guidance on how to do it right. I feel that if a submitter isn't ready to give e-contact info, an addition to a calendar should not be possible. If the calendar admin doesn't know who made the addition, how can it get corrected? All that can be done is either correct it yourself or delete the entry that the submitter could well re-submit again wrong. In the case of the upload of a poster as clip-art, I guessed who it might be. She said it wasn't her. So, I sent a note to my approx 200 musicians' list and one 'fessed up' and apologized once she knew the problem she had caused. Before that, she simply had no idea what she did wrong or what she did was a problem. A simple mandatory e-mail address as part of her submission would have narrowed down the 'culprit' quickly so she could be given the guidance needed. |
