Yes, this can be done. I do it for an event flyer that is posted.
I made a link using html coding and linked that to the location of the document.

if you go to my calendar here is the link Calendar

go to August 16 there is an event listed called Vettes for Vets.

If you open that there are links to the flyer and one to the map.
This is all done with html code. Hope this helps
