Re: iCal sync error
Looking at the date for "First Day of School" in the iCal file localendar generates, the line reads:

DTSTART;VALUE=DATE;TZID=America/New_York:20080825

So that's clearly the 25th. I see you're in NC, so the EST zone is fine.

I imported your feed into my cal and had the same problem. Then I created an All Day event on Google on the 25th and exported it, just to see what *they* do.
There info is almost the same, except they add this line
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20100826

I dont think this is the right thing to do. Because the event really doesn't end on the 26th.
Without that line, they think "First Day of School" begins on 12am on the 24th, which is why you see it on the 24th. But localendar says the 25th, not 12am on the 24th! (I know, it's Google so they can do whatever they want and we all have to follow, right laughing )

But some calendars might take the 26th DTEnd date and incorrectly show the event for 2 days. I'll have a word with our developers to
confirm the behavior. Meanwhile, you might also email Google this issue and ask them why an event like this:
BEGIN:VEVENT
DTSTAMP:20100830T014612Z
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE;TZID=America/New_York:20080825
SUMMARY:First Day of School!
DESCRIPTION:
UID:20100901T195902Z-1@ELSIE-CT1
END:VEVENT

shows up on the 24th.
