Re: ics character issues Sorry, I had a much more detailed post that somehow got deleted (perhaps during all that spam last week). Here is the full issue: I am using Apple's Calendar program to generate multiple ics files that I am merging on my localendar (this is a great way to update on the fly, by the way). I am inputing descriptions of the events in the Calendar app, but the text, when displayed on localendar, is not encoded properly. My understanding is that Apple's calendar is utilizing UTF-8, but special characters like quotes and ampersands. You can see the calendar incorporated into my wordpress site here: http://www.cinemabeach.com/features/calendar/ (using that very nice pinboard layout, which I'm very happy with!) Also, I am having an issue withe the RSS feed, which may account for the character issue. But I'll jump through one hurdle at a time. |
