You could always set up custom categories for the events and color-code them (this is the bg of the event or a color bar along the side and not the event text itself)

Would this mean I could create one custom event design and use that for every day of the year? For each day there is one person in charge of the register I would color that name red for instance and the other personnel would be in default black text.
