In 3 places on the site, there is documentation that subscriptions are automatically renewed by Paypal.

If you create a subscription from Paypal, then it will be automatically renewed when the subscription period is about to expire. We do not send renewal reminders; the subscription expiration date of your calendar is always displayed on the localendar menu.

Also, your subscription expiry date is always displayed on the left menu, and Paypal always has a record of your upcoming payments.

We do not "take the money". Paypal automatically handles all renewals. Directions for cancelling subscriptions are also at the link above. As a member since 2012, I am surprised you were not already aware how renewals are managed.
