Re: iCalendar merge not working Thanks for this, i never knew about the ical validator website. i have just created a brand new calendar on my apple device, published it as a public calendar, copied the link and posted it into the ical checker and it came up with the same error messages… Your calendar is using an invalid newline format. Make sure to use \r\n to end lines rather than just \n (RFC 2445 §4.1). Sorry, your calendar could not be parsed. Error: Error was: Error at line 1: Expected [-3], read [-1] Cause: this happened about the time i updated to iOS 8.1 it asked me to upgrade my calendars, contacts and documents to iCloud drive and i declined. maybe this has something to do with it. i will investigate. just tried making a new calendar on my partners device (different iCloud account etc), made it public, tried to add it and exactly the same problem. is it possible that apple has changed the way it codes the calendars so that they only work on apple devices? |
