Re: Reusable Locations
Here's what I came up with last night.

The schedule is provided to me in Excel as two columns

"Date" & "Team-A-Abbr @ Team-B-Abbr"

I created an area in the spreadsheet with the full team names, their pool address, partial header, general event description, std time info., and shortened-URL-Google-map of that address.

I've created a second area with some common HTML such as "<a href=", ">", "</a>" "<br>", etc.

By using vlookups, I had it expand the Team abbreviations to the full team names, and append the address for the second team (since that is the host), and encapsulate the google-map-URL inside of an href statement and place this data along with the dates and times in another section of the spreadsheet.

By importing that, it creates the event header, dates, times, desc and in the desc an, actual Google map hyperlink. I ran out of time to see if I can put the hyper link in the location field which would be the right place for it.

(I put a lot of info in the header, and may take some out later).

I did note that the real google-map URL was too long for the import to handle or the rendering to do correctly and produces unexpected results, but the shortened URL solved the issue.

Then I create a category for each team (haven't done this part yet).

I upload the above event information twice and I get duplicate event entries.
That's ok.
...then I go back manually and change one of the events to the category for the first team and the second event to the category for the second team.

If I provide a category-filtered link to the first team, they only see their events.
Same for the second team with a different link.

If I create a third category-filtered link including all of the teams in a particular division, while the coaches will see dup events, but only the events in their division which is better than nothing.

If I could import the categories, there would be no manual manipulation at all.
(hint hint)

It doesn't address the racing squads, but without multiple categories per event, that would get to complicated.

Next year, I simply take the new schedule, paste it in my Excel template, let it generate the import file, and upload.

See this as an example.

I'm curious to see how you're manipulating your Excel.
