Would you want to see a small "edit" icon on the event somehow that opened it for editing?<< That is a great idea, and I like it. {Although I would like the screen that opens to include both 'Edit' and 'Save As'.} One solution is to incorporate this feature in the "Sharing' option, and restrict it. That way only members who are on that list can access the calendar in the first place. So my thought is to have not only 'View' permission, but also 'Edit' permission as an option for each member added. Then the Calendar Owner could decide who has the "Edit' permission. I think that would minimize any malicious modifications. For some that might be too restrictive, if they want a truly public calendar. So perhaps a better solution, is to also add a variation of the above. If one selected the 'Allow anyone to view my public events...' option, there would be an option to give Members 'Edit only' permission. Then only those Members would see the small edit icon, and anyone could still view the calendar without having to be a member. For this general feature to be easy to use and not too confusing, I think it should NOT require the member to go to their 'My Calendar' screen, like the 'Admin Permissions' does. So now it is your turn for more thoughts  Harry |
