I was thinking that you could "Allow public to edit events" which would be super-risky, unless you had password-protected the public calendar.

Then, when a user is looking at an event pop-up, down by the close button (and the export to iCal, Google, etc) there would be a button for Edit.
As I said, in my specific case with my OJPpatrol calendar [which the Police see] that would be fine, because the only folks that can access the calendar have a password, which I control.

However I would like the screen that opens once the button is pushed to include both 'Edit' and 'Save As'. That would make it much easier for my users to set up events, since I have created template entries for folks to type in a few words, check some boxes, set the correct date/time, and click 'Save As'.
