I believe it was corrected to use the same underlying data as the month-view. That said, there's a little internal debate about the "start date". My personal feeling is that all the rss feeds should start w/ today's date; but the month and week views start at the beginning of their respective periods.

I believe this was done upon requets of some users, but it's not set in stone by any means...

Anyway, what this means to you is that while today+happening soon shows a week in the future, the rss feed shows what's new through the end of the month. This is only temporary; it will ultimately show the identical series of events.
