There are 2 sets of email addresses on localendar.
Under Options->General, where you can change the default email addresses for Reminders. However, this is *not* the email associated with your account (for example, when you request a lost password)

... and under Options->Security where yes, you can change your password, but you can also change your member name, and your account email.

The text on Options->Security reads:

This is the email address used if you forget your password and request localendar mail it to you. It is also where notifications of new calendar events are sent if you have enabled that feature.

Please have a look at the text right below the Change Password option.
