This issue has been answered in our internal ticketing system several times with customers, but I am not sure we have ever shared any of the responses on the forums. Below is the latest reply from our ticket system. I would also add that some screen readers can easily digest the RSS view of localendar.

Hi!

The answer is: It depends. localendar has multiple ways to publish a calendar, and some of these formats use advanced web features that are not easy to navigate with screen readers, etc. while other formats can be made ADA compliant with few (if any) changes

For example, take the sample site:
http://localendar.com/public/ADA_Sample

The default month-block view will be hard for some assistive software or devices to process. They might also have problems with the weather, colors, and month forward/back arrows.

The month list format (which can be customized with higher-contrast colors if desired) is more friendly:
http://localendar.com/public/ADA_Sample?style=M1

If the arrows are a problem, they can be hidden using the option "Include a static/non-interactive calendar" under the localendar Publish Wizard.
Items that are heavily image-dependent (like local weather or event clip-art) should also be disabled for greater accessibility.

We do not automatically switch between different calendar views depending on the user. Our recommendation is that if ADA compliance is required, at the top of the page where you are publishing the calendar, you provide a link to an ADA-compliant view with helpful test such as "click here for a screen-reader friendly version of our calendar"
