Re: New Event Map provider We are no longer using Google for the actual map, but we were/are still using their geocoding service (the code that translates a street address into a lat/long) The reason why we still relied on Google is earlier in this thread: We found some geocoding alternatives were less reliable than Google and led to bad event maps when the lat/long was displayed with OpenStreetMap. However, now that Google has changed some of their terms of service and billing arrangements, we are forced to try other alternatives.
