Separate admin and operational traffic
I want to send an announcement of a new event to a email list so that others know about it.
I see you have suggested to others with the same problem that that we set up a Yahoo group email list and then new event announcements are sent to that list.
While this works it also means that any administrative traffic (new password reset??) is also sent to the mailing list. Not a good idea.
This problem could be solved there two email addresses.
One address would handle only admin traffic (password resets, etc) and the second one would be used for announcements of new events being created.
This would allow the (possibly sensitive) admin traffic to be separated from the regular operational traffic.

Any chance ?

Re: Separate admin and operational traffic
localendar already works this way actually.
The email address under Options->Security is the one use to send password info, etc.

The email under Options->General (reminder defaults) is only used for event reminders.

Re: Separate admin and operational traffic
No, I'm sorry, but my question is a little different.
I understand how reminders work and they are not the issue.

I'm interested in the initial email that localendar produces when someone adds an event to a public calendar. This is the email with the subject line "Notice: A new event has been added to your calendar.". My goal is to be able to send this email to an email list telling all our members that a new event has been added.

As I understand it, this Notice is only sent to the administrator. I could change the calendar admin to the name of the email list which would solve the problem. However, if I did that ALL admin traffic (including password resets, billing details, etc) would also go to the email list.

So, I'm looking for an email address that would be used ONLY by the "Notice: A new event has been added to your calendar." emails.

Re: Separate admin and operational traffic
Ah, sorry I misunderstood you.
But unfortunately I have to tell you that "we don't have that"
The only workaround I can think of at the moment depends on the email provider you are using.

For example, I could set up a filter on my account to look for emails from the localendar calendar monitor and send those out to the group. The pw reminders, etc have a different sender address from localendar on them.

I'll pass your suggestion along to our dev team.
