considering premium subscription in order to maintain/merge calendars Hello, I am a member of high school girls' basketball boosters board, and we currently use a free localendar (aka, "MAIN" calendar) to share our schedule, including games, tournaments, fundraisers, and other events. We have decided that we'd like a second calendar ("BOARD" calendar) in order to calendar board business - payment due dates, entry deadlines, and other things that we do not need to share with parents/players and/or would simply be clutter to players & parents if they were to be on the MAIN calendar. The MAIN calendar would remain accessible to anyone. The BOARD calendar would only be made available to members of the board. For ease of scheduling events on either calendar, we'd like to be able to view a MERGED calendar, which would only be available to the board. Is the above do-able? Given the scenario & goals described above, does anyone have any suggested alternate scenarios? And finally, could there be a way to add events to the MERGED calendar and, when entering, specifying to which calendar - MAIN or BOARD - the event should be written? Hope this all makes sense :) Thanks in advance. Rob |

Re: considering premium subscription in order to maintain/merge calendars Hi Rob, If I understand you correctly, it sounds like you'd like the BOARD calendar to show the events of the MAIN calendar, even though the BOARD calendar wouldnt be accessible to everyone. Not a problem. You would want at least a Premium Personal subscription on the BOARD calendar, which will allow you to Merge in the events from the MAIN calendar. Re: considering premium subscription in order to maintain/merge calendars Thanks for the reply. So, just so I understand, I would simply purchase a premium subscription to create the BOARD calendar, and then I would merge the MAIN calendar into it, correct? Do I need to somehow link the accounts? Or would it be the same as simply merging into the BOARD calendar any public localendar that is out there? |

Re: considering premium subscription in order to maintain/merge calendars Hello again, I have upgraded the MAIN calendar to a premium account in order to no longer have ads. My next step is to create a premium account for the BOARD calendar. I'm not clear how I do this. Do I just go in as a new user, the same way some random person would create a new account, and then I'd merge and/or create a group calendar? Or would I - using the same login info as I do for the MAIN calendar - subscribe to a second Premium calendar (the one that will become the BOARD calendar)? Thanks |

Re: considering premium subscription in order to maintain/merge calendars Correct on the first statement:
Create your new account with a new member name (ie, BOARD) If you want to merge Main into Board, then Board will need at least a Premium Personal subscription. Under the Premium menu on the Board calendar, you can merge in the Main calendar. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
