Separation lines have disappeared The vertical and horizontal lines that separate one day from another in the month view have disappeared from Localendar. Also the lines separating the vertical 'week' entry on the monthly calendar are gone. Does not seem to make a difference if a fully interactive embedded calender or a responsive iframe calendar. Also no difference if publish on my website, or on Localendar's. Any idea what the problem might be? Harry |

Re: Separation lines have disappeared This is actually intentional.. there were some design changes made to the calendar that were supposed to remove the lines in favor of letting the background color show through. If you want the "lines" back, all you have to do is set a light gray bg color - or any color for that matter (under Options->Colors) and you will see the "separation" At some point in the past, we switched new members from having a light gray bg as the default to the calendar being "white", so when we corrected this issue, anyone with a white bg suddenly had the lines "disappear". As to whether or not we continue to make the color for new users be white or gray.. we are still discussing it. Re: Separation lines have disappeared Marc: I did as you suggested, but I have never, to my knowledge, had a Localendar that looks like this one. My background color has always been white. Go to: www.ottawapark.org/reference/images/LocalendarLineColors.jpg The upper screenshot, marked 'Now', is what I get when I change the background color to gray. The middle screenshot, marked 'Mar, 11,2016', is what my screen looked like on that date. Note the white background, and the double gray lines separating the days, as well as around the directional arrows, week, etc. Now look at the lower screenshot, marked 'Feb. 27, 2016'. Again the background is white, but there are single gray lines separating the days, and week, but NO lines around the directional arrows. I did not go back any farther to see what other changes you have been silently making regarding this subject. So rather than changing the BACKGROUND color, is there a way that I can just change the LINE color? I want everything to be white except for the actual lines. Harry |

Re: Separation lines have disappeared You now have what was the correct design. If you look at Feb 27, there are boxes around the "week" section that should not be there. Mar 11 extremely incorrect. "Now" has the "borders" the background showing through, which was the intention. There is not a way to change the line color at this time. Then it has not been correct for a long time. I did not include a screen shot from Jan 30, 2015, which is the same as the Feb. 27, 2016 one, except the word 'week' is centered.
If I could have lines for a white background that would be great. I much prefer the white background. I think it makes the calendar easier to read, plus if one has a lot of custom categories, it is hard to pick a background color that significantly contrasts with all of the category colors. Harry |

(and I know what you mean about "for a long time", but there are so many calendar variations, browser CSS defaults, etc, that the issue of "timing" has many meanings across different members) But for now.. we are trying an experiment to put separation lines back on the 2 month-block style views when the background color has been set to white (ffffff) Let us know what you think! ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

That is fine. Thanks for being so prompt and accommodating  Just curious--why with the separation lines is the word 'week' placed at the top of its column, whereas with a colored background (and at various times in the past with a white background) it was in the center of its column? Harry |

Re: Separation lines have disappeared There is still some tweaking to do.. but with Weebly about to do some major promotional stuff for localendar (yay!), it was decided to put the separation lines changes out sooner rather than later. I appreciate the sooner action on the lines. As I said, the 'week' format was more of a question. And I certainly hope the ads bring you guys more business!
