ICAL ID Is there a way to get the ID for an Ical Merge? I have some calendars that I would like to be able to show, not show, or make exclusive depending on the webpage. |

Re: ICAL ID For clarification, are you looking for some id or value in our exported iCal feeds so that in some other app/site you can dynamically hide or show based on that id? (and is the url of the iCal feed not sufficient) If I understood your use case a little better I could probably offer a better anwer ![]() ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Re: ICAL ID
Sorry, I did not explain that well at all..... I have an iCal that was brought in using the "Merge iCal Calendars". When I create a "Publish" for an embed calendar, I can set categories for what I want to see in that specific calendar. I was curious if there was a way to include the iCal as a "category" so that it can be excluded/included based on the specific need for that embedded calendar. Currently, it seems to only be included if there are no category filters applied. Thanks, hope that makes more sense. |

Re: ICAL ID Judging from your public calendar view, I think you found it :) If you click "Include a merged calendar legend on your public calendar" on our Premium/Merge page, it will add any merged localendar calendars and and merged iCalendar calendars to the legend. I see at http://localendar.com/public/TOCL you have an option for "test" which is the nickname of an iCalendar feed you merged in. If you still have any questions, please let me know. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Re: ICAL ID
Thank you but I was inquiring as to having the option to include it like a category. "When I create a "Publish" for an embed calendar, I can set categories for what I want to see in that specific calendar. I was curious if there was a way to include the iCal as a "category" so that it can be excluded/included based on the specific need for that embedded calendar. I was wanting to embed a calendar with maybe one category and the ical, but the ical only will show if I do not use category, although the "Test" appears as an option below Example: http://localendar.com/public/TOCL?categories=100 |

Re: ICAL ID aaaaahhhhhh... now I see what you mean. So, we don't do that now ![]() Right now, iCal events secretly do get mapped to a "hidden" category that is... "ical Event". This way localendar knows to handle them a little differently (like - not letting you open it in the event editor for example) This might make it hard to map them to a second category.. I'll have to chat with one of the devs to see if this would somehow be possible. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
