3/18/22 Outage
There was an outage this afternoon-evening preceded by some general slowdown. The problem was eventually determined to be a faulty VM at our hosting provider.

Also, a process which should have been in place prior to the outage which would have disabled this VM (as well as sent some preemptive alerts) was apparently not running. We are still trying to determine the root cause for this item in particular.

We apologize for the outage and are still investigating some performance issues although the site has returned to full operation.

Re: 3/18/22 Outage
Update:

We've discovered there are a ton of "seedy content farms" both foreign and domestic who have been creating fake localendar accounts and posting bogus "events".

The intent seems to be to try and create cheap advertisements on localendar and also increase their ranking on search engines.

All this fake content has been a drag on our database, and we've done a massive purge today as well as try and black-list some of the sites where this junk was coming from. If you were accidentally blacklisted, please use the Contact Us form (on our homepage's footer) and we'll unblock it asap.
