') How do I remove an image from a posted date as it takes up too much vertical space.

If it is an image associated with a holiday, then these can be turned off under options->General

If it's an image you have added to a specific event, then just open that event in the Event Editor and close the section tilted "Add an Image to this Event" and click the Update button.
