confused   Visitor Password
How do I set up a visitor password? I see where to set up the member name for the visitor but what about a password?

Re: Visitor Password
Do you want to create an account just for visitors? Then it's just like creating/maintaining any other localendar account. You create it from the link on our homepage, and you can always change the password under Options->Security tab

Re: Visitor Password
If we want to have visitors "SIGN-IN" seperately (with a DIFFERENT password from mine)....how can we do that?
Or does the localendar offer this service (at any level)?

If I go to options/security...the password there will be the one I choose for myself. ONE password for ONE person.
I don't wish to give out my password to them.

As you mentioned in your answer, the password area can be changed, but as I see it, it changes it overall....for me as well as
for anyone wanting to log on.

I wish for the visitors TO REGISTER and choose their own password ...and have to "LOG-IN" to ACCESS MY CALENDAR. (...not set up new/ or share calendars.... nor allow them to post or change the calendar.)

Your home page looks like a log-in system, but at this point I would have to give my user name & password to visitors for them to log-in there?

Thanks, Molly

Re: Visitor Password
With the "Sharing" option, you can restrict who can view (but not change) your calendar. You control this by adding localendar member names to the list found by clicking Sharing on the Premium menu tab.

But how to get people to create member logons so that you can add them to the list? You've hit on it: Through the localendar homepage. So, yes, visitors will have to sign up and get a free calendar. They also (obviously) have to create an account before you can add them as an authorized viewer. That's the extent to which we support sharing at present.

biggrin   Re: Visitor Password
confused It appers from reading the thread... that you think visitors to you calendar need to have an id and password because of the localendar.com home page....

well no they do not ... they just have to go to www.localendar.com/(your user name) and they will see the calendar.....

Hope that is what you wanted to know
