Imbedded Discussion
I'm sure this has been answered before but I can't find it. How can I add my discussion board to my webpage as an imbedded object and not just a link?

I am looking for same answer. Have you found it yet?

Re: Imbedded Discussion
This actually only came up once before smile
The discussion forums aren't exactly built to be embedded, but you might find some success with this html:

<!--
Note: You need to paste both of the following lines into your web page. The <ILAYER> line is for Netscape, and the <IFRAME> line is for Internet Explorer.
You can adjust the height and width parameters as desired.
-->
<ILAYER src="http://www.localendar.com/forums/yourmembername" height=600 width=700 ></ILAYER>
<IFRAME src="http://www.localendar.com/forums/yourmembername" height=600 width=700 marginheight=0 marginwidth=0 scrolling=no frameborder=0 border=0></IFRAME>

You may also want to set scrolling=yes

Re: Imbedded Discussion
The response from "Support" worked for me. Good luck

Re: Imbedded Discussion
I used the suggested lines to embed the discussion forum into my website and the login page appears - however, everytime I try to login in, it keeps refreshing, asking me to login again.

Also - I added a couple of catagories while logged in at localendar. The catagories appear on the embedded discussion forum on my website, but when I click on a catagory I get an error message:

@Cannot find the row in table Forum where primary key = (1566). Calendar ID:0

Can posts not be added thru the embedded discussion forum?
I'm using IE 6.0 and the website is built thru Verizon.net which uses Trelix for web design/publishing

Re: Imbedded Discussion
Can you post the url of the site where you are using localendar?
Also - before testing your own embedded forums page, can you make sure you've signed out of your localendar.com account?

Re: Imbedded Discussion
I've decided to just link the forum from my website which works fine.
If you'd like to test it just to see, let me know and I will embedd again.
I don't recall if I was signed out or not. However, I did create a second Name and Password as a test and I had received the same erros.

Re: Imbedded Discussion
I tried the same thing and can tell you it simply doesnt work. I provide the embedded page as a view so users can see what has been added to the discussions but instruct them to use the link to open and edit.

Before I pay for a premium subscription, has the issue of using Iframe been resolved? Has an embed script been written? I'm running into the same issue of not being able to log on when attempting to use Iframe and the forum link. Is it a script conflict?

I'd rather have the ability to put the forum on my web site with the same look and feel as the other pages, not having my users go to an external link.

I guess it's a good thing I'm testing before I buy.

My test page is at http://www.tulsawxchaser.com/forum.htm.

Please post response here. I'll check back.

Re: Imbedded Discussion
So have you settled on phpBB (from the test url)?

I have not performed any additional iframe testing as we were working on the homepage redesign and are working on some other higher priority fixes.
