topics not getting updated
When a post is made to a discussion topic, the "Last Message" column is not getting updated. Is there some way I can fix this or is this a problem for Localendar?

Re: topics not getting updated
Topics should be updated immediately (they are not cached). Perhaps your browser is caching an older version of the page?

If you are using IE, make sure under Tools->Internet Options->Settings that "Every visit to the Page" is selected.

Re: topics not getting updated
This does not appear to be the problem, as there is no change when the settings are changed. It appears this way on multiple computers, regardless of settings.

It looks as if the software is not updating the last message column, which would be a localendar problem.

Any other suggestions?

Re: topics not getting updated
Ah; my misunderstanding. I thought you meant the messages themselves do not appear.

The "root page" which shows the latest message is cached - meaning it doesn't refresh on every view for performance reasons. I'll have to check into what the refresh interval is.

Re: topics not getting updated
Quick update: I got the forum configuration files, and don't see any configurable settings for this, which may mean it's in the code. But I don't see the "delay" behavior on the support forums, which are just like your forums.

I may have to dig deeper, but will probably also post a test message on your forums to see if I can duplicate the behavior.

Re: topics not getting updated
Do the posts *ever* get updated, or is some constant, old message displayed as the most current?

I ask b/c when I post (or see posts) here on the support forums, they always change to recent ones. That's how I know which ones to answer.

Re: topics not getting updated
The newest posts appear at the bottom. I generally try to keep the page cleaned up so everything that is listed is a current or ongoing activity. We use this as a sign up page for our group activities.

Up until the beginning of May the dates and number of the responses were showing up, but all of a sudden the responses stopped showing in the count and the "most recent post" date column.

The responses are there and those who set up activities can see who signs up by clicking to the next page, but its much easier for an activity host to be able to get an idea if their activity is getting a response if they can see it on the main page.

Thanks again.

Re: topics not getting updated
Sorry to belabor this, but I'm not sure the specific sections where you do/dont see correct stats.

When you click "Index" on the forum menu bar: Is that info correct?
When you click "Recent Threads" is that correct?

Or are you talking about another page/link?

I just checked both of those sections for the support forum, and the are getting updated correctly.
