I have ads being posted by google with links to the right of my calendar. I do not want these to appear, how to I get rid of them?

I have the same problem. Did you find out how to remove them?

Re: Ads displaying on my calendar
If you purchase at least a Premium Basic subscription ($9.95/yr) all ads will be removed from your public calendar.

If you click the "Subscribe Now" button on the left nav menu, you can learn more about the various features you receive with a Premium subscription.

Re: Ads displaying on my calendar
I'm the webmaster for a local dive shop using localendar. The owner paid for the premium services but every other day or so ads show back up. What's with that?

What is the name of the calendar where you're seeing the ads?

sad   Re: Ads displaying on my calendar
I didn't have a problem with the ads displaying to the right of the calendar but now the ads are displayed inside which depending on the ads size changes the size of the perticular day making the calender look lopsided.

Anyway to revert to the orginal calendar with Ads to the right?

Re: Ads displaying on my calendar
The new ads actually provide for greater calendar space by removing the dedicated ad area formerly to the right of the calendar. Also, no more than 3 ads will be shown on the entire calendar, and no more than 2 per row. In the old format, Google was able to place as many as 5 ads on the calendar.
Currently, there is not a way to change where the ads are placed.

Re: Ads displaying on my calendar
I'm with you - I can't believe the ads actually show up inside the event day areas - I have embedded this calendar in a non profit website where singles/cheap meds ads are most inappropriate. The worst part is there is a link with the organizations name on each ad so it looks like an event. Cheap, really cheap...

Re: Ads displaying on my calendar
Google is supposed to prevent non-family friendly content from appearing in their ads. It has always been our policy to block specific advertisers when members provide the url (right click on the link) for a firm.

This new ad format is currently present on the month-block view, and is one of a series of initiatives we have undertaken to allow localendar to remain free, without raising the subscription prices for those paying members who have subsidized the free service for everyone else. In over 5 years, we have not increased the fee for Premium Basic beyond its initial 83 cents per month. So I agree - we are really cheap.

These are default Google text ads, which clearly state in text much larger than the ad itself, "Ads By Google".
