Canadian Holidays Would it be possible to have the Canadian holidays available as an option on the site? We really enjoy using it, but some of our older people are wondering why I'm putting American holidays on the calendar. Thanks! Marianne@MRMC |

Re: Canadian Holidays I've written a lot of these "it's on our list" messages today, and this time won't be any different ![]() We are currently re-working our Holiday generation code to support a wide variety of international holidays and events. In general, we've been changing a lot of code to support internationalization (these forums are the biggest/most obvious example). It's actually a fairly complicated subject.. A great book for software developers interested in the subject is: Calendrical Calculations But I digress. As a short-term workaround, you can add holidays that repeat annually on a given date as individual events that repeat Annually. Besides that, you'll have to be patient with us ![]() ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Re: Canadian Holidays Boy, that was an old message of mine above. First, you can turn off the default holidays under Options->Events. Second, you can add Canadian holidays (and holidays for many other countries) using iCal. Again, under Options->Events, look for this text/link: Tip: Import more holidays and events onto your localendar using iCal! (click here) You can use sites like iCalShare.com to find lots of other events you can add. For example, here is a list of Canadian holidays: webcal://people.trentu.ca/rloney/files/Canada_Holidays.ics and you can find many other holidays for other countries here: http://www.icalshare.com/categories/holiday ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Re: Canadian Holidays Any further updates on Canadian Holidays from 2004, hopefully you have fixed the problem that is 12 years old. |

Re: Canadian Holidays SAKR:
Does Marc's post just above yours (from Feb 11, 2012) with instructions on using iCal meet your needs? Harry |
