Embedded calendar like Real Estate sample
I have 3 questions pertaining to embedded calendars:

1. I like the embedded calendar on the Real Estate example. What "?style= _ " did you use and how did you get rid of all the headings, buttons, key to linked calendars, arrows, option to switch from day/week/month etc. and ONLY show the actual calendar details?

2. When using the ?style=D2, is there any way to re-name the "Today" and "Happening Soon" headings to something else?

3. Also with ?style=D2, is there a way to keep the day/date from repeating? We would use ?style=W0 except for the issues listed in #1 above.

4. Are the styles listed in FAQ the only styles available or are there more? I've searced through all the threads but it would be sure nice to know that they are always listed and updated in FAQ.

Keep up the good work!

I'd also like to know how you did the Business Sample calendar. I especially like the highlighting behind the dates. Thanks!

Re: Embedded calendar like Real Estate sample
We need to enhance the Publish feature to make sure the styles are more clearly explained. I think they're all there, but they've also been posted and discussed in the Announcements forum.

The examples use a combination of custom styles, but also changing the calendar colors under Options->Colors (you can do a lot from that section, including using custom images for calendar backgrounds)

The Real Estate sample uses a simple Week View/List Style (style=W1). It's a non-interactive embedded calendar, which means you don't get the arrows.

The images of the houses are custom clipart that was uploaded and added to each event.

"Today" and "Happening Soon" are always called "Today" and "Happening Soon" at this time.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by the date "repeating" on this view, but it sounds like W1 is what you're after.

The "Business" example uses the same W1 style, just with a different color pallette. You can always "View the HTML source" of the web page and search for "localendar" to see the exact HTML that was used.

Re: Embedded calendar like Real Estate sample
Thanks for answering all my questions!

I guess what I'm looking for is either the W1 style without details, or the D2 style where the day and date don't show up with every event listed (that's what I meant when I said "repeating").

I think what we'll do is use the W0 style since it only lists the day/date once for all events on that day, only displays the event title and we'll adjust the margins to fit our tall, narrow space. I just discovered how to do that with the Publish Wizard and will ask our webdesigner to try that. Keep your fingers crossed!

Cool. Please let us know if you have further questions.

We're planning on adding some other sample calendars soon as well as enhancing the Publish Wizard to make sure we make it easy for people to get to all the various calendar styles and options we've talked about on the forums.
