Add Events with pre-approval I just installed this calendar and chose to have events pre-approved before posting.. testing this feature proved to be interesting indeed.. one event notified me that the event was added with no approval by me... and didn't appear anyway... ___________________________________ A new event has been added to your calendar. Cleo on 10/29/2010 Description Cleo Additional 50% off Mid Season Fall Sale _____________________________________________________ the second attempt I received a pre approve email that linked to the event. ___________________________ A new event has been added to your calendar. Cleo on 10/29/2010 Description You have chosen to make visitor-added changes Private. This event will not be visible to anyone until you sign in to your calendar and switch it to Public. Click here to access this event To make visitor-added events Public immediately (or to disable these email notifications), log on to your calendar and click the Options button on the left menu. {Thank you for using localendar.com} ________________________________________ the third event just like the first I received an email telling me it was added but still does not appear... _________________________________________________ A new event has been added to your calendar. cleo on 10/29/2010 Description Mid Season Fall Sale Fall save an additional 50% off... __________________________________________________ in addition top the above, at one point the calendar will display a day/week/month option but then it disappears... __________________________________________________________ This calendar is far from stable or reliable in my opinion.. some glad I tried the 30 days first... _______________________________________________________ Eventually the events appeared, on their own, with no approval... as for the day/week/month options... they a haven't re-appeared... |

Re: Add Events with pre-approval I'm not sure how to respond to the "far from stable" comment since we've been around for more than 10 years and yours is the first email I've seen with this problem. Regarding the day/week/month options; I'm not sure what calendar view or function you are talking about so I cant address this item. Re: Add Events with pre-approval Hi I have a similar problem I have been notified by email of an event been entered but I am unable to find that event to approve and make public |

Re: Add Events with pre-approval One of the things I think we need to do is confirm that the event is actually saved correctly before sending that notification. In some cases, it's conceivable that a visitor would post a huge description (from something like Word) that would break the save (and perhaps the email is incorrectly sent?) We can also probably send a link in the email rather than just the event details.
