Compatability with new Microsoft IE9 I just updated to Internet Explorer 9. When I access the calendar, the horizontal spacing is not consistent for any given month. IE9 has a small icon that allows me to view older designed websites. This clears up the spacing problem. Is there work being done to update the code to current standards? |

Re: Compatability with new Microsoft IE9 Once IE9 is gold, we'll run incorporate it into our build tests (which include Opera, Safari, IE, Firefox, and Chrome) I've already seen some IE9 issues come up, and as it's a major platform we'll support it fully. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Re: Compatability with new Microsoft IE9 I also just noticed big problem with IE9. I am using the latest fully released version, and have spacing problems that do not appear in the other 3 major browsers. You can see an example at http://geneseeyc.org/Calendar/calendar.htm . It seems obvious that something is wrong at the Microsoft end, but wonder if there is a work-around on LocalCalendar? |

Re: Compatability with new Microsoft IE9 No news yet; but we are doing testing with IE9 ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Re: Compatability with new Microsoft IE9 Same horizontal spacing issue with an embedded calendar. See the following page in IE9 for an example. http://puyallupumc.org/calendar.htm In other browsers the spacing works as expected. Any updates on this? |

Re: Compatability with new Microsoft IE9 A few users have reported it, but we have tested with IE9 and not duplicated the issue. I would suggest removing your doctype line (<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">) for starters, and seeing if it corrects your word-wrap problem. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Re: Compatability with new Microsoft IE9 It's when it goes into an IFRAME that the problem happens. Embedd this IFRAME into any page and you will be able to repro the issue. <iframe src="http://www.localendar.com/public/puyallupumc" height="585" width="960" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" frameborder="0" border="0"></iframe> It also happens on your site when you generate the code: PUBLISH ->>my calendar in an <iframe> --> Month Block View --> Preview |

Re: Compatability with new Microsoft IE9 Removing the DOC Type line did not change the behavior. |

Re: Compatability with new Microsoft IE9 IE9 has a bug with how iframes are rendered (they inherit the parent page's DOCTYPE). We've put a fix in that should remedy this. On a separate note, you might also want to try the embedded calendar that doesn't rely on an Iframe, as your page will now autosize to fix the calendar height. I think it's much cooler. Please let me know if you have any additional issues with IE9. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
