HTML when calendar events go to Outlook, Google, etc.
Hi, there:

I've used HTML in my headers to make subject lines pop out a bit. It works well and the headers looks nice.

One of my members tested the sync feature that allows folks to pull events from my blurbs into their calendars. When the event came over to her calendar, all of my HTML came too. I believe the expression "HTML junk" was used in feedback to me.
:)

Is there any way for me to keep my nifty HTML and for my members to not have to deal with cleaning it up when they pull in my events?

Many thanks!

Regards,

Re: HTML when calendar events go to Outlook, Google, etc.
I'm afraid none that we've been able to find. Many online calendar programs will handle that HTML correctly. Some programs (such as Outlook) may not.

We could try and strip the html out, but it can be tricky (and lead to more of a mess) and the programs that ignore it seem to be heading into the minority.

So for now, we prob will not be changing the functionality. You can at least set the default event color (but not the font size) under Options->Colors. At least you wouldnt need HTML for this.
