Sluggish/non-response
I’ve spent 3 hours adding a couple of events. In edit mode, I can’t get a preview. In both edit & viewing (as a visitor) modes, I’ve had great problems changing the month. The forward/backward arrows do nothing nor does clicking a month.
I’ve got 8 more events to enter, but I don’t want to spend 2 hours apiece!

Re: Sluggish/non-response
Several hours later tried again. Guest version now changing dates. Edit mode only with difficulty. Month list and arrows still no work. I persisted and got my entries done.
And whatever happened to “HTML edit”?

Re: Sluggish/non-response
I'm sorry your having a slow response time; we havent been seeing any issues in our logs - and things are snappy for me.

What does "Guest version now changing dates." mean?

Also, it is still possible to get the an event's HTML for the description by clicking the small HTML button on the Event Description field's toolbar

Re: Sluggish/non-response
In my first message, I said that the date changer wasn’t working. In the second message, hours later, it was “working now” in Guest Mode. I am still having problems with it in Edit Mode, but found a work-around.
Re: HTML editor. I don’t see any HTML button. There’s the “HTML background color button”, but I see nothing that will allow editing HTML text. There used to be a button for that, but I don’t see it any more.
However, what I am seeing is that the “Description” is in HTML, even where I didn’t enter it as such – and what I entered last night had to be entered in HTML to come out right. I.E., I seem to be in a perpetual HTML edit in the description box.
Now another problem. I was playing around with HTML last night. On the date August 1, 2011, I entered something with an empty “title”. Now there’s a very low-height empty box on the first day of each month. I am unable to click on it to get to the editor so I can delete it. It will be there at least 3 years. Could you delete the entry, please? Just the empty one, not my other two. I replaced it with the title that marquee’s.
Thanks,

Re: Sluggish/non-response
I deleted the 2 events you mentioned. But you still haven't told me what you mean by "guest mode". That's not a feature we have.

Is it possible you've disabled javascript in your browser? We have javascript checks for entering empty titles, and the date picker is a javascript widget.

Are you seeing a toolbar on the description editor at all? Again, this is a widget that uses javascript.

Re: Sluggish/non-response
Thanks.
Sorry, I can’t remember the proper terms for everything. By “guest mode”, I mean an outside viewer – someone who’s a guest reading the calendar.
I haven’t turned anything off, that I know of. Wouldn’t know how if I wanted to. I don’t know what “javascript widget” means. I’m trying to learn things, but it ain’t easy at 84!
And no, no toolbar in the description editor. Here’s a screen shot, if it will go through. (If not, I could send it E-mail if I had your address.)

Description:

Background Color:
Enter HTML hex color code #

Location: (full address)

Date:

Re: Sluggish/non-response
Logged off, then back on. Toolbar is back. I think this thing is playing with my mind.
(It wasn't there before - I have the screen shot to prove it!)
