Debit to my Bank AccountYou debited my bank account for next year's subcription. Do you think it would a better business practice to send a email to relay your intentions. I had planned to continue the subscription but I believe you need to tell your subscribers in advance that you intend to debit their account so one has the option to continue. Since the damage has already been done could you send me a recipt so I can give it to my treasurer? Your method of charging your subscriber is highly unethical and a very poor business practice. Re: Debit to my Bank Account Paypal handles our billing (we don't retain that information for security purposes) The auto-renew policy is outlined on the subscription page and in our docs. http://localendar.com/docs/display/lc/Subscriptions "We do not send renewal reminders; the subscription expiration date of your calendar is always displayed on the localendar menu" You can always view your upcoming payments through your Paypal account. You can also print a receipt for your payment by viewing your recent Paypal transactions. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Re: Debit to my Bank AccountAt least yours went through. Paypal or somebody sent me an email that there were insufficient funds in my Paypal and that my subscription would be cancelled. I can buy anything using Paypal but I can NOT renew my subscription to localendar. I ended up just sending money via paypal to localendar. My account expired according to Paypal. The payment from Paypal to localendar processed to localendar before my subscription at localendar lapsed. My Paypal is and has always been backed with my checking account and a VISA credit card. Paypal has always worked great for everything and every vendor except localendar. The service and calendar did not stop working so apparently someone at localendar picked up on the issue and gave me credit for the payment. |

Re: Debit to my Bank Account Even when a subscription does expire, the calendar never goes away; some premium features just stop being available. I did handle that "manual payment" from Paypal. However, manually sending money to localendar via Paypal won't usually work (we get no notification since email is filtered). Paying by check is a better option. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
