sad   Color control for website display
I am trying to find the best way to display calendar events on the mobile version of my site. I have narrowed it down to three possibilities. You can view them here:
http://m.stpaulvp.org/testing/index.html#calendars

My frustrations are two in number
(1) even though I have selected "Hide links on Events that have no Description", each event has a link and
(2) the colors I select for list views do not usually affect the actual list views that I am trying to display on my site.

In fact, for the events that DO have a description, the description is included in line (which is fine). It would nice if the others would not have links on them. In addition, I cannot control the color of those linked items.

There seems to be a disconnect between the color choices and the list views. As far as I can tell, the only time the color choices actually change the list view is for the editing of events, not for the viewing of the published version. Is this a bug, or am I missing something?

Re: Color control for website display
It does look like the "hide links" parameter is being ignored on the list view, which we will look into.

Regarding the colors, I selected the "List views" tab under Options->Colors, and changed all sorts of colors on your calendar (feel free to reset the theme) and they are working correctly:

Re: Color control for website display
I hope you are able to fix the link stuff.

I see that you changed the colors and were able to view them. All I can tell you is that if you look at http://m.stpaulvp.org/testing/index.html#calendar1

that the only color that is different is the day title. All the other colors are defaults. I'm using the <script> kind of invocation, for what that's worth.

Also, I am using jQuery Mobile so I don't know if that is interfering with the color settings? I hope you can help because I'm not seeing the color changes you made in my list view invocations on the mobile site.

Re: Color control for website display
I didn't change any other colors. You will also note that events with no description are no-longer underlined.

Have you tried changing other colors under Options->Colors (and selecting the List View tab)?

Re: Color control for website display
The links are gone for the most part in the month and week list views, thank you. However, now when there is a description, it has a link AND it includes the description in-line, which is redundant. Since I'm doing a mobile-friendly thing, I'd rather have the description in-line.

The links are still all there for every event in the "today plus happening soon" list.

The colors are still troublesome.

The title color control is not separate for list vs. block view. If you change the title color on block view it changes it for list view and vice versa.

The month list view title color does not seem to be under my control at all.

The static calendar list view colors seem to be controlled by block view choices, not list view. The full-page list view calendar colors ARE controlled by list view choices. It's easy to see if you use the publish preview. I don't want to change the block view colors to get what I want in the list views when I'm using the static method.

Re: Color control for website display
Do I need to start a new thread to get these issues resolved?

Re: Color control for website display
Nope; we just had some other stuff queued up. There was an issue with some imported events not being displayed, and we had to prioritize something that *doesn't* show, over *how* something shows :-)

We're working on some list view changes related to your post now.

Re: Color control for website display
We've pushed out a number of small changes related to this issue. Please have a look.

As a side note, the calendar & month title cannot be separately colored for the block and list views. That setting is common across both styles (which was already reflected on the WYSIWYG editor)

Thank you for making the changes. It works much better.

I have one final request though. I guess Today Plus Happening Soon is not necessarily a list view, but it's my favorite option for using with my mobile-friendly site. Could it be changed to do like the other list views and instead of having links, include the description in-line?

Thanks for your help.
