Paypal issue? -- credit card declined
Hi, Localendar:

Every year, when my subscription comes up for renewal,
there seems to be a problem with the Paypal payment.

I’ve received notices that two attempts have been made
and they’ve not gone through because of a credit card problem.

But I checked the info at the Paypal end, as well as at the bank.
There’s nothing wrong with my credit card of record at Paypal.

This happened last year too, and I had to cancel the Paypal subscription and create a new one.

Also last year, no one responded to my email about this.
I've already written in through the "Contact us" form, and haven't received any response.

Can you please check to see what’s going on?
Is this a known Paypal issue, perhaps?

I need to know how I can continue my subscription.
And perhaps you can offer some suggestions as to how I can ensure this doesn’t happen again next year.

FYI, the next payment attempt will be made on July 13,
according to the info I received from Paypal.

This doesn't happen often, but when it does, it's unfortunately solely on Paypal's end since they handle all the payments & subscriptions.

The typical solution is to cancel your existing subscription and re-sign up, which 99% of the time fixes the problem. In your case, since you did this last year and are still having problems, I would recommend opening an issue with Paypal. B/c this could create problems with other payments you may make through your account.

In the meantime, you subscription is set through Aug 12, so there should be plenty of time to hear back from them before it expires. If we need to extend that time, we will.

Yes, I did end up renewing via a new subscription. The old one was automatically cancelled.
