We are experiencing this same problem with our site all of a sudden this week. Anyone know what this is about? ("oops!")

Re: visitors cannont add items to my calendar
bestofbothell,

The issue that was causing this back in April (the thread you replied to) should have been resolved a while ago.

I just tested this against your calendar and didn't have a problem. Can I ask what browser/version you are using?

Re: visitors cannont add items to my calendar
Just attempted the same exact thing and I'm getting the same error.

IE version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519

It tells me the error has been sent to the the system administrator.

Thanks, Melissa

Re: visitors cannont add items to my calendar
Yep I'm running the same version of IE.

IE version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519

The problem hasn't gone away I get it every time with IE. Firefox it works, but I am getting a lot of complaints since most people use IE

Re: visitors cannont add items to my calendar
Still can't duplicate this...
The next time you try this, can you post a message here with the time (+timezone :-) and date, so that I can try to see if a message is being generated in our logs?

Hi there,

Attempted this again on 10/31/06 at 11:05 am EST and received the same errors on the mvmc forum.

Thanks, Melissa

Re: visitors cannont add items to my calendar
As mentioned in prior posts, I cannot duplicate this problem.

I just went to
http://www.localendar.com/public/SEG-FLY

and was able to get the Add Event screen in both IE and Firefox.

There have been *zero* code changes on our side in the past 3 weeks, and even older releases haven't been in this area.

In an effort to track this down, I posted the following in my last comment on this issue:

The next time you try this, can you post a message here with the time (+timezone :-) and date, so that I can try to see if a message is being generated in our logs?

Still no takers...

Re: visitors cannont add items to my calendar
We're planning to subscribe to your calendar. Have been trying it out for a few days and the "Add Event" feature has failed with the same error message as described above on all computers we can test on here. That feature worked on those computer until 2 days ago. Do you shut this feature off after a certain number of events added for those that have not subscribed yet?

Re: visitors cannont add items to my calendar
No; it's not disabled. Can you tell me what browser and version you are using on the computers you tested? Also, as I mentioned in an earlier post, if you can tell me the date/time (and timezone) when you get this error, that is a huge help in searching our logs.

If you can repeatedly cause this problem, please do so, and post the time back here.

Re: visitors cannont add items to my calendar
roarracing,

I just added an event to your calendar and it worked perfectly. This is the frustrating thing about this issue...

Let me try and get a script together that we can add to that Oops page. Perhaps we can print out some browser settings that people can report back to us when they see this message. That might help uncover the cause.
