Question about public posting and "local" events (Sorry for the double posting .. I just posted this under "cobranding" but I don't know what that is.) I want to create a place where anyone (not just me) can post scheduled events, such as organized public protests. I see now that this can be done under "premium" services only, is that correct? Next question: how is this made "local", e.g.,if someone is looking for a protest event in Dallas and someone else is looking for one in St. Louis, does this calendar help them find that, or do they have to look at each day. Sorry I'm not understanding this. I'm sure it's all actually quite simple. |

Re: Question about public posting and "local" events So this is actually 2 questions  First, you are correct in that giving visitors the ability to post events on a public calendar requires at least a premium webmaster subscription. As for *locating* those events, that's a little trickier. The highest visibility an event added in this manner can have is "Public" - meaning it will show up on the calendar it was added to. However, the calendar's owner can add events (or *change* user-added events) to also be "Published". What differentiates a "Published" event is that someone can find these types of events by searching on their zip-code from our homepage.
