General events won't delete
Even though I am not merging calendars, some of my 'General' events are not editable - eg, those in Nov 2014. Help please!

You actually do have some merged calendars (click the Premium tab on the left menu, then Merge)

Some of those events in Nov are coming from calendars that you have merged in. You cannot edit events that are merged from another calendar. You can either delete them on the source calendar (if you are the owner) or you can un-merge that calendar.
